Systemic enzyme therapy is a treatment method that is based on the systemic action of an orally administered mixture proteolytic enzymes of plant or animal origin. Thus, it is not a local effect of enzymes in the gastrointestinal tract tract, but for systemic action throughout the body.
Since 1960, researchers have begun studying the effects of plant and microbial proteases in the treatment of inflammation. Scientific studies have shown their significant positive effect on inflammatory, immune, degenerative processes, acute and chronic diseases and injuries.
Seraflcaps contains the patented active ingredient Serrazimes®-I-proteolytic enzyme system produced by a fermentation process from microscopic fungi Aspergillus oryzae and Aspergillus melleus. This exclusive proteolytic enzyme system is an alternative to serrapeptase, a proteolytic enzyme that was originally isolated from Serratia marcencens and lives in the bowels of the silkworm. However, this bacterium is potentially pathogenic and enzyme production is very expensive. The Serrazimes®-I complex has the same proteolytic activity as serrapeptase, tests have shown even stronger anti-inflammatory effects, is patented and safe.
The proteases in the Serrazimes®-I complex have excellent anti-inflammatory effects, ensuring an optimal course of inflammation. they normalize the network of "cellular hormones" - pre-inflammatory cytokines, prevent or slow down the development of the inflammatory response and contribute to the limitation of the inflammatory locus. They eliminate the cause of inflammation, have a unique ability to decompose exclusively dead tissue, improve microcirculation in the affected area and thus support the removal of toxic substances arising in inflamed tissue. They support faster regeneration of damaged tissues and healing of inflammatory deposits. Proteases prevent the accumulation of fluid in damaged tissues and the formation of swellings. They have the ability to dilute the accumulated fluid and facilitate its elimination. They accelerate the absorption of blood bruises - hematomas.
The strong analgesic effect of proteases alleviates the pain of healing. Unlike conventional painkillers, they do not block the pain itself, but act on its underlying causes. They have the ability to dampen the effects of substances that are released in inflamed or injured tissues and that cause pain. These enzymes do not have side effects like non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs - salicylates, Ibuprofen and other nSAIDs, so they are a suitable alternative. Research has shown that in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, Serrazimes®-I reduces inflammation, swelling and joint pain and improves mobility. Inflammation of soft extra-articular tissues - tendons and muscles, e.g. carpal tunnel syndrome and adhesive capsulitis ("frozen shoulder"), "tennis elbow", in which remission is observed in more than 80% of cases.
Degenerative joint disease - osteoarthritis affects various joints in the body, but especially the supporting joints such as the knees and hips. The disease caused by bone and cartilage degeneration is manifested by severe pain and effusion. Proteases reduce inflammation and significantly reduce pain when moving even at rest. Injuries, swelling and severe pain occur during injuries and injuries. Proteases promote and accelerate wound healing, hematoma absorption, reduce swelling and reduce the risk of inflammation and scarring, which is especially important for burns and serious skin injuries. In everyday life, we will appreciate Seraflcaps even for minor common injuries such as stretching muscles and tendons, sprained ankle, bumped joints.
High physical exertion during demanding sports performances regularly leads to microtrauma tendons and muscles as well as injuries. Protectively and therapeutically administered proteases halve the time required for healing. They have therefore become standard equipment of most top athletes. In Germany and other European countries, systemic enzyme therapy is commonly used in the treatment of injuries.
In one German study, they studied the effect of proteolytic enzymes on postoperative swelling and post-injury pain. In this study, there were 66 patients who underwent surgery to rupture the lateral ligament of the knee. On the third postoperative day, the group receiving proteases had 50% less swelling than the second group, the pain subsided faster, and on day 10 they were completely pain-free. In the other two groups with traditional drug treatment, positioning, rest and ice, there was no significant reduction in swelling in the same time period.
Positive effects such as swelling relief, pain relief, accelerated absorption of blood bruises and promotion of healing are also observed after dental procedures, minor surgeries, e.g. laparotomy, plastic surgery and liposuction. Chronic diseases of the respiratory tract such as bronchitis - bronchitis and sinuses - sinusitis are characterized by the formation of thick mucus, which clogs the airways, causes chronic cough and makes breathing difficult. The effect of proteases is to reduce inflammation and swelling of the mucous membranes in the respiratory tract, dilute dense mucus, improve transport and drainage of mucus and facilitate coughing. Proteases dissolve blood clots while reducing the risk of new clots forming. They limit the storage of lipids and cholesterol in the arteries and thus act against arteriosclerosis.
The use of enzymes in the Serrazimes®-I complex in Seraflcaps also has contraindications: blood clotting disorders, use concomitantly with anticoagulants (Warfarin, Anopyrin ...), preoperative surgery, gastric or duodenal ulcer, dialysis, transplantation, cancer in active stage and during treatment, acute infectious viral diseases (treatment after the acute stage disappears), immune system disorders, HIV, AIDS positivity. It is not recommended for use in pregnant or breast-feeding women and children under 12 years of age.
The enzymes contained in Seraflcaps are resistant to gastric acid, absorbed in the digestive tract and enter the bloodstream in active form. Regular use on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or at least 2 hours after a meal is important to achieve the positive effects of Serrazimes®-I complex, otherwise proteolytic enzymes will be consumed to digest proteins in the diet and will not have a sufficient effect on the affected tissues. The recommended dosage is 1 capsule daily, it can be doubled at the beginning of use for several days. Taking Seraflcaps can be occasional or long-term.
